A huge concrete pour over at the latest demolition / rebuild in Kingswear. For three days a concrete pump (the big cranelike thing) arrived to deliver the liquid goodies from the roadside across the site to the footings. Three days of footings. That'll dry out to be a big lump.

TVFTDO spotter Susie texted an alert on Saturday "Had I seen the car in the river". I got there just in time to see this Dutton Surf 4WD emerging up the Lower Ferry slipway. It's a kit car based on an old Suzuki Jimmy. It'll do 85mph on land and.....6mph on water. The last time I saw an amphibious car in the river In Dartmouth was back in 2004

This did look worrying. Vehicle carrier Morning Celine travelling from Philadelphia to Antwerp appeared to be heading straight for the rocks. In fact it is simply drifting eastwards (right to left in the pic). It did it a few more times over the next couple of days. Treading water the merchant navy way.
