Found at last. The missing link. SD Navigator comes in to maintain some of the Navy's buoys and moorings. But it also spent some time in the centre of the river. And fished out this huge chain.

Lots of RNLI activity this week. Dart RNLI Atlantic class was out twice hunting an EPIRB (an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) which had been set off. On Wednesday they joined Torbay Lifeboat plus a Coastguard helicopter on a sustained search out at sea. Then two days later another alert had the crew searching from river mouth to Dittisham. Above shows two of the support crew racing from the RNLI boathouse to the vessel for launch.

An early morning toot from Hoodown direction alerted us to something unusual. Steam loco Nunney Castle was being reversed onto a train of carriages which had overnighted in Kingswear station. A bit of sleuthing unearthed the unusual story of the Hoskings family's Easter break aboard their own train. Sir Jeremy Hosking is a wealthy British investor and also owns a number of steam trains. His idea of an Easter break is apparently a weekend trip around the West Country for family and friends. Hence, this morning, they departed for Cornwall. Via Taunton.
