Another lifeboat shout: this rib was found 10 metres off the rocks near the Mewstone when the ILB reached it. Towed back in to the safety of the river where a Dart Harbour patrol took over the tow.

St Thomas's church at Kingswear was having three new bells delivered by steam loco. In my innocence I assumed they would be on display on the back of an open top wagon. Fishing boat MFV Atlanta II of Scarborough (SH84), previously based in Bridlington but sold in February 2024 to a Teignmouth fishing operation. On its way to Noss for a refit. And possibly a number change?

Something has gone a-missing ? The visitor's jetty went all of a sudden. Although it turns out that the Harbour office had forewarned it was off to winter pastures a bit early. All down to the incoming storm.

Way over Galmpton way, the fields have been harvested and being prepared for the next phase of the farming years. In the meantime, a combination of sunlit straw and dark skies makes for a snappy snap.
